Question: If Regine's brother was a 1,000 years old....

He dates back to the the fall of the Roman Empire and the start of the Byzantine Empire.....so how did her brother and sister ever survived throughout all those centuries? I know it's a movie and you don't think too much on these things, but would a last name like Dandridge ever be fitted into that particular century? Or do you think Jerry & Regine had actually names other than the ones they used due to their immortality? I know I shouldn't think too hard on this, but just wondering about that confrontation when she spoke to Peter about her brother being a 1,000 years old or something.

Well that's the fun thing with lines like this in movies. You get to imagine it yourself, and I think you've done a fine job. Imagine living through that much turmoil and history! If you were immortal, I suppose you'd have to change your identity from time to time, just to keep people off your trail.

She might have taken the name Dandridge to honor her brother as it was his last alias. They probably couldn't have spent that much time together as vampires since their feeding patterns would overlap and people would have noticed.

He asked us, "Be you angels?"
and we said, "NAY, we are but men," ROCK!

As a rule the majority of people (commoners mostly) didn't have a surname in those times. They were referred to by their locations or jobs, such as 'John of Ditchford' or were called 'son of' followed by their fathers name. Surnames only started appearing across the board around the 11th Century.

If Regine and Jerry were 1000 years old they would have been midgets compared to 20th Century people. Well that would have been a funny thing to look at.
