You see these movies pre-2001 and it is eerie to see the World Trade Center. The classic Escape from New York shows Snake land a glider on them. Every time I see an old movie that features or shows them in the background you forget how dominating they were in the New York skyline.

shareIt used to be a dominating part of the skyline. Pretty much every movie that's based in New York they show it at least once or twice. Not sure why they don't show the Empire State building or the Chrysler Building much.
shareAgreed. I don't see the "connection" either. On the other hand, there are many pre-9/11 movies that contain beyond-coincidence 9/11 innuendo. Google '9/11: Hidden in Hollywood' and watch in astonishment.
