Legal question: Anybody know?

The level of corruption and injustice in his conviction because 2 crooked as hell cops set him up (and unlike most real life situations he proved EVERYTHING, one of the cops even ended up in the same prison). Wouldn't he have major suing rights? I could imagine it being very easy to get a very good lawyer and sue for megamillions. Why would he even need his old job back at the end?

Here is MY idea of a better ending...

Have a scene where he is apologized to by the courts in some way, majorly vindicated AND awarded a huge compensation package, several million dollars. Then to celebrate his freedom Rainwood and his wife are shown taking a vacation to a beautiful tropical paradise.

Now you know how in Rocky 4 it kept flashing back and forth between the training scenes of Rocky and Ivan Drago, to show the differences? (Rocky using nature and Drago using technology?)

Well my idea was to have a back and forth contrast where for several seconds Rainwood is shown making love to his beautiful wife then for several seconds we see the crooked cop guy getting gang raped. There is an old proverb that "living well is the best revenge", well that is ESPECIALLY true if while you are living well your enemy is in hell suffering horribly.
