Was Jingles Reckless?
If it was so obvious to everyone else in the prison that Rainwood had to "take care of his problem" wouldn't Jingles have been aware of the risk? Rainwood had Butcher and Virgin routinely approaching him with advice and nobody saw this? Nobody went to jingles and said "Hey, some of the lifers are trying to give Rainwood advice"?. Why wait so long to slowly rein him in. Why not move fast or back off? It almost seemed like he was giving Rainwood a fair chance to get informed.
