Barnes vs Chozen

My money would of been on Chozen from part 2. He would of hurt Barnes

Chozen, seemed more experienced, he trained by his uncle who's martial arts is stellar like Miyagi's, and runs his own karate dojo.

Sometimes ability is genetic. He may be Japanese and trained by Sato but Barns probably had the faster reflexes and the better genetics. Barns was the best Karate practitioner in U.S.A. for his age division (teen). Even if Chozen was the best in Japan the U.S.A. has more people so being the best in U.S.A. is more impressive statistically.

Again with the BS about Barnes being the best in the USA.
No where in the movie does it state this. Stop making things up.

If those pen pushers up at city hall don't like it,well, they swivel on this middle digit!

Silver saw an ad in a magazine for Mike Barnes and picked him out there.

So really we don't know that either way......we're assuming that Barnes is the best in the USA.

"Be excellent to each other...And....Party on!"

reply

Yes, people are assuming.
What we know, all that we really know is that Barnes is a tournament terror and the bad boy of karate. Silver picked him because of his bad reputation.
The director John G Avildsen has put his thoughts on the matter on a public forum. He states that Chozen was better and tougher than Barnes!
That'll do for me.
