Riggs drops off his newly found GF at her own house, the bad guys know where shes lives and he knows they are trying to kill them... Why not take her either with you or to a secret safe location...Riggs is WAY smarter than that imo.

I just rewatched the film and I had that exact same thought. I mean he was probably going to the Police Station to tell them that his home was attacked. Why not bring her along? Dropping her off at home was the worst thing to do.

I would have thought that he believed she had not been spotted and would drop her off at her place to look like business as usual, not thinking she was under any suspicion. Remember that he picked her up officially at a grocery store, not her office.
