A severe explosion going off with yourself and your police partner in the middle would render some serious damage to your hearing, so I would like to believe that they took this into consideration before leaping into the tub, but apparently not. Input?

shareNo, the blast wouldn't have taken out the tub. The toilet would have been obliterated, but the cast-iron tub would remain intact. The entire scene was tested on Mythbusters, and the cast-iron tub survived the blast intact.
