Leo should've been killed
I know that sounds kind of twisted. But, I really think it would've added a lot to the film, if Leo died like Danny DeVito in LA Confidential, if he was strangled to death by a green and yellow neck tie. Roger finds his body and finds his motivation, like he did when they threatened his daughter in Lethal Weapon.
