How do the cops playing cards at night not at least hear about Shapiro's death from the loud explosion at her pool earlier that day? You'd think somebody would've told them. It's not like she was quietly murdered.

Why would Riggs take Rika to her apartment after surviving that intense shootout instead of going to the police station? And did Riggs see her get thrown into the water before the start of the next scene? If so, he doesn't act like he did.

Good spot about shapiros death.i didnt notice that this scene was in daylight and the poker scene at night. Only thing i can think of is that it was just before sunset, and the cops at poker night were off duty and wouldnt find out til morning.

Riggs mustve assumed that they were unaware that rika was involved with him. also he may have thought that the south africans would assume that their helicopter assassin squad(which by the way is the noisiest assassin squad ever)wouldve succeeded and riggs would have free reign as they thought he was dead.

I doubt he saw rika getting chucked in the water as they took a hood off him at the start of the scene.

Yeah, good point.

By the way, I also like how Murtaugh is pissed at Leo because he missed the poker game and says that he was feeling really lucky. He did get lucky because he couldn't go.
