How to mermaids give birth??

I know it's kinda random, and I know Ariel was a human when Melody was born.

But do Mermaids even have vaginas?? How to they give birth or even go to the bathroom?

Considering the mammary glands that mermaids obviously possess, it's safe to say they do have vaginas since they're more likely to be mammals, even if they DO have gills.

As far as how they give birth, on the one hand, they may give birth live, yet on the other, they may lay eggs (wouldn't be the only mammalian species to give birth via laying eggs: Echidnas and Platypi are known to do that).

And they "go to the bathroom" like all other animals do. If they feel the urge, they "release."

i would guess that they give birth like other aquatic mammals.
