ALMOST perfect ending!!!!!!

the whole scene with him about to execute the warden in the electric chair was so awesome! i was cheering when he pulled the switch! (and i never cheer at movies) but i was kinda dissapointed that the guy didnt die. atleast it scared the hell out of him and he went to prison, but still, it woulda been the best ending if he just fried the guy. it was still a good ending and happy that he got out of prison and stuff though. ALMOST perfect!

It would be way to easy if he actually killed the warden and Drumgoole so deserved to go to jail and become someones biatch. I was way more dissapointed that Dallas finally decided to be a *beep* hero and kill himself and that other "fat piece of sh*t".

They killed all the cuties in this movie so darn them all to hell.
But over all, a very good movie. Saw it for the first time in the middle of the 90's and it still works. A real classic =)

Sure I could be polite and courteous but where's the fun in that? c",)

Yeah, as soon as I saw Dallas was still alive I realized the character was going to redeem himself. I would have been more amused had he died a rat. Anyway, I thought the movie was pretty entertaining. And I do agree with you that killing Drumgoole would have been too easy and letting him live so HE can hopefull go to jail is better punishment.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

I like the ending and think it's satisfying. We really didn't need to
see a longer ending with Frank and Melissa because we know they
stayed together and got married. All that mattered was they were
reunited and it's what the audience wanted. I also like that Dallas
tried to redeem himself and Drumgoole was taken into custody
rather than dying, it would've been too easy.

You wanted him to become a murderer? That would have been a stupid ending. You pretty much missed the moral of the entire story...

I felt bad for the warden. He was booked at his OWN prison by his underlings
