we know Manly died but what happened to the other bad guards

I want to know what ended up happening to the Warden, he was taken into custody at the end after being tricked into confessing everything even though the electric chair had no power but had this occurred in the real world what would legally have happened to him? would the courts have found him guilty? would he have wound up serving time himself and if so would he be given some kind of special protection? I have never heard of a former warden being an inmate themselves. I DO like that unlike the Shawshank Redemption warden he did not get the easy way out of committing suicide. I would have loved to see the Shawshank warden ending up as an inmate. It would be especially fun watching the Lockup Warden get gang raped in prison as an inmate being that he paid a guy to rape Stallone's girlfriend.
