How did Drumgoole know...

...Frank Leone was in the process of serving his time at Norwood (the minimum security prison in the beginning of the film) when the guards from Gateway ransacked Leone's minimum security prison cell in the middle of the night & took custody of him? How did Drumgoole know where to locate Leone during the time he was on parole? Leone did pay his debt to society by the time Drumgoole caught up with him.

I, of course, can't say this as absolute FACT, but my gut tells me that wardens have access to the names of every inmate at every facility in their state per a specific database. Interesting question. As far as Leone being on parole, time had been tacked on to his original sentence (the 18-month aggravated assault conviction) after Leone's escape from Treadmore (where Leone and Drumgoole had previously crossed paths.) In short, Leone was never on parole.

That information is pretty easy for law enforcement to get, which includes wardens and probably at least some of the guards. But I believe getting an inmate transferred from a minimum to a maximum security facility without a very good reason is not so easy, especially one who isn't causing any trouble and is so close to getting out. In the few places that still allow it, furlough is generally reserved for model prisoners.
