When the Mustang is destroyed, a portion of the track, appropriately titled The Mustang, can be heard. When First Base is killed, the track heard is also appropriately titled, First Base.

Thanks a lot.

you're absolutely right. Its a score by Bill Conti and its from the song 'Ever since the world began' by Jimi Jamison which can be heard at the end

reply

I wish Conti would release more of his soundtracks on CD. It's rare for him to when "Rocky" is not the title of the movie. A shame; his stuff is SOOOO good.

Wait a minute... who am I here?

reply

Yeah his music is great. And he indeed very rarely puts it to CD. Last year though he released a box set of the score for The Karate Kid, but only 2000 were distributed and it costs something like $69 So thats very rare to get hold of aswell :(

Interesting. One correction, though: 'Ever Since the World Began' is not actually by Jimi Jamison, it's by the band Survivor, which Jamison did join around 1984. Survivor released 'Ever Since the World Began' in 1981-1982, when Dave Bickler was lead singer. I've been a Survivor fan for literally as long as I can remember, that's how I know this.

BUT it is Jamison who performs it in the movie, right?

reply

Yes, it is his recording that is used, but the song was originally written by Survivor, being released on the Eye of the Tiger album.
