Heckerling had an affair with Harold Ramis while she was with Neal Israel. She became pregnant and wanted Ramis to leave his wife, but he wouldn't do it. Apparently, Ramis and his wife had some sort of an open marriage (either that or she's the most understanding doormat on earth), but he screwed up obviously.
