No.
"Robo Jox" aand "Crash and Burn" are part of the same franchise. BTW, those two films are followed by the horrendous "Robot Wars"!
"Arena" is probably a stand alone film. I can understand how you might think "Arena" could be connected with "Moon 44" because of the feel of the intergalactic society. The difference is "Moon 44" had no alien races. I would compare "Moon 44" to the same universe as "Alien" or "Outland".
Barack Obama 2008!!!
Sorry, But Robot Jox and Crash and Burn were not the same francise.
Robot Jox was a Stand Alone movie and the only thing that it had in common with Crash and Burn and Robot Wars was the Big Robots (Mechs). Robot Wars had one cast member in common (Danny Kamekona ) but it was a different character.
Anyways, ..
Robot Jox, Crash and Burn, Robot Wars and Moon 44 are great childhood movies that remind me of when I started watching movies and getting into the whole Sci-Fi thing.
Now they might seem crappy, but back then Imagination roamed wild!!!!

No, sorry edoman2000, those three films are part of an organic whole. They take place in the same universe with the same timeline. Just consider Isaac Asimov's Foundation Trilogy. Those "novels" were made up of several short stories and novelettes, each with different characters and different time periods exploring the expansion and decay of a galactic civilization. What tied those stories together was the unifying theme of that futuristic civilization. Robot Jox, Crash and Burn and Robot Wars similarly explores a future where giant corporations compete using gigantic human controlled robots. Expand your viewpoint of what makes a trilogy.
Live Long and Prosper!

edoman you're right, but how you put up with that idiots responses for so long I do not know.
shareThe main thing that connects Robot Jox, Crash and Burn and Robot Wars was they were all made by Charles Band and his Empire pictures / Full Moon Entertainment groups. Crash and Robot wars were cheaper cash ins on the more expensive Robot Jox. That is why they are similar, when they were released they tried to make out that wars was a sequel and crash was in the same Universe but I believe that was to try to make a little more money at the time. Although I enjoyed Robot Jox, thought Crash and Burn was not great and never saw Robot Wars(but from what I hear its better than Crash and Burn).
I am a fan of MOON 44 and own the dvd, this is a Roland Emmerich film and nothing to do with the other 3 films mentioned.
P.S. There is now a German Blu-ray release of Moon 44 available on Amazon.
