Little Girl

I was watching this movie and I thought the little girl was really annoying. Did anyone else think that?
Also I thought she might have been the actress that played Kaylee in Firefly, but I guess not.

reply

Yeah, she kind of was but I think she was supposed to be a bit annoying. Several characters in the film seemed to think so as well. She was still sweet and lovable though.

I thought Rebecca Harrell's performance in Prancer was wonderfully refreshing. I don't know how many films I've seen with the "precocious" kid that is nine going on forty. Rebecca's performance is spirited, honest, and sweet and gives this film a quality so many others lack. Of course an actual eight year old will get on your nerves sometimes, it's what annoys you and makes you love them at the same time.

reply

I agree with the poster above me. She did irritate me at times, but she's eight-years-old, what do you expect? Little kids can be very annoying, so I'm glad that they portrayed that in the movie. I can't stand it when movies try to make little kids perfect angels all the time, that's not how things work.

Rebecca is the reason why this movie is a favorite of mine

You're going to die screaming ~ and I'm gonna watch

Annoying as heck! Ruins the movie.

I thought she was great. It's one of the very few kids I've seen in movies who I felt actually behaved, moved and acted like a child. Kids can be annoying though, but not as much as these unrealistically mature kids in most movies are.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I like her in the movie too. She is a normal little girl. She is loud, full of energy, stands up for herself & creative. I was the same way at that age too. I was always the loudest and always wanted to be noticed.

Sadly today she'd be labeled ADD/ADHD. lol

reply

Naw, she didn't seem ADD or ADHD. Just a normal, curious little kid...

As a kid I thought she was soooooo annoying and couldn't stand her.

As a adult I find her cute and slightly annoying at times....But yeah she definately wouldn't be a kid I would want be around more than a half hour.

I thought she was very good. I didn't like the script much. And her lines weren't the greatest.
What I'd say though is she carried the film with a very nice performance.

Yes, I thought she was very good, too. She was a little annoying at times but that's the way she was supposed to be. She was feisty (almost defiant) and very persistent to get what she wanted. Then she could turn around and be very sweet and child-like. I also enjoyed the performances of Cloris Leachman, and Sam Elliott. Great holiday movie.

reply

Yes she ruined the movie. All she did was whine and when she didn't get her way she'd cry about her mother dying.
ughhh it could have been a great movie with another actress in the part

She played a very realistic little girl. Yes, some kids are annoying and that is because they are kids.

I thought she was a wonderful actress. This is a little girl who goes through a wide range of emotions some serious and some not.

I thought she was great and made this movie even better. She disobeys and all, but she was supposed to. The way she cries and talks is so cute and endearing. ?
