Unfortunately Shirley Valentine was filmed in MYKONOS !!!
Why didn't they stick to the old cover ???
Has anyone seen the new cover on Amazon.com for "Shirley Valentine" ???It appears to be the same picture that is now used on IMDb as well, and is apparently the cover art for the upcoming American DVD. Since IMDb owns Amazon this is not too surprising, for they are in the business of selling these things and so it is for promotional reasons that they usually show the cover art from the video as the representative picture.

It's the other way around. Amazon owns IMDb. IMDb was started in the United Kingdom, and then was bought by Amazon.
Regarding the original post, yes, the cover picture is of Santorini although the movie was filmed in Mykonos. A big mistake, in my opinion, unless they just did it in purpose, since arguable Santorini is prettier than Mykonos.
