I enjoyed watching these trailers. I even used them to help get my girlfriend excited about Star Treks 3 and 6 (the only two she hasn't seen at this point). The best of the bunch were probably the Search for Spock and Undiscovered Country trailers, in my opinion, mostly because they were really suited to the tone of the films. However, I did think The Motion Picture trailer was a bit off, since it focused more on action and intensity instead of the majesty and grandeur that are this film's finest qualities. Did you consider using music from the film score in any of the trailers? Not much can stand up to Goldsmith's score for The Motion Picture.

Hi thanks for the comments.

I usually try to avoid putting the film's own score in a trailer, because nowadays you get associated genre soundtracks or popular trailer music instead. However, I admit that for sequels that's not the case.

Also, I felt that TMP's trailer would be the hardest to do because a) I'm not all that fussed about the film and b) the dialogue isn't the most dramatic or exciting. So for me, the music needed to be big and epic but not fast paced.
