shareThe original idea for Generations was to bring both casts and ships together. They had trouble coming up with a good enough story, and the original cast weren't very keen on it either (mainly Nimoy and Kelley). The final idea to bring Picard and Kirk together didn't work very well.
TFF has a lot of awkward scenes in it. In the end I feel pretty much the same about both movies: not a big fan but I'll watch them.

I liked it -- bett than 6, and better than any TNG movie. has silly moments, but it's "Trkky," with a "villain" who simply has a different viewpoint, interesting questions about mankind's images of "God," and god character interaction.
doesn't deserve the kicking around it gets.
