VHS vs DVD

I saw UHF a long time ago on VHS and recently rented it on DVD. I remember that on the vhs there was more scenes into the movie that did not appear on the dvd. For exemple the guy playing the guitar in reverse he would do it another time with his foot tied to a iron bar not just standing his shoulders on chairs.

ALso at one time they would be in a cabin in the witertime and someone would uncover a tv with static from under the snow. I did not see that on the dvd version.

I still have to watch the deleted scenes from the DVD but i am sure that on the VHS version to scenes were present withing the movie.

The scene you describe in the cabin in the wintertime and uncovering a TV with static reminds me of the movie "Stay Tuned" (1992, with John Ritter). I seem to remember a scene similar to that in that movie..
