Never fails. Superb film!
Cards on the table, I'm a miserable bastard but even now I just watched this film and it actually made me belly laugh out loud on more than one occasion even though I've seen it a million times. John Candy's laugh is infectious and his timing is impeccable.
I think this film was way ahead of it's time too in its depiction of teenagers. It has a very 90s goth/grungy feel and the part in the open house in the woods where Tia and Bug are hanging out reminds me of the 1994 TV show 'My So Called Life'. Impressive for a 1989 film.
I'd say this is a true comedy classic!
