Love the new DVD set!

Just got this new DVD set and I'm very pleased. Its mostly a good set because the show is just so unique and clever, and Chris Elliot is so funny. All the episodes are here, and it comes with a booklet covering all the episodes. It has a few little extra's, but I'm still just enjoying the episodes. I didn't realize there were actually a few I had never seen.

The picture quality of the DVD is fine, but nothing special. But these shows are timeless.

The price has dropped a bit on the set, and you can find a deal at Best Buy or Wallmart after the new year specials.

I got the DVD set for Christmas and I've been loving it as well. It was a very long wait for the DVD release but it was totally worth it! This was my favorite show for awhile when I was a little kid so it's fantastic being able to revisit all these episodes. The extra features are really informative and entertaining but it's baffling how just about everyone is involved except for Chris Elliott. I had no idea that in one phone call, Get a Life was cancelled while The Edge (another absurd show I really liked) was picked up.

Also loving the DVD set, and recommending it for fans of the series. Lots of commentaries explaining the development of the show and the continual conflicts with some network executives. In fact their meddling was why I didn't see all the episodes when they first came out.

Mirkin tells in one of his many commentaries that he wanted to secure the original music rights before releasing the DVD set instead of using bogus music. That would explain the long wait for the DVD's.

It's great to re-experience this show, and still enjoy the humor after two decades.
