DVD for sale?

I know this show hasn't been officially released on dvd, but this site right here has both seasons with 7 discs for 60 bucks. What's the deal? Is this legit?

Unfortunately that set is no more legit than the 7 disc sets on ioffer that cost $20-$25, it is just a lot more expensive. I have been tempted to get a set myself (from ioffer) but I read somewhere that the video quality isn't very good. I'd like to hear some opinions if anyone reading this has a set.

They keep saying that there will be an official DVD release soon and I hope there is, but it's getting harder to wait. I watched the two volumes that were officially released recently and now I want more.

I have them. The quality is not great but its watchable. You get all 22 episodes from the first season and all 13th from the second.

These were evidently taped on a home VHS system (looks like they were using economy speed, sadly) by someone off the Fox affiliate in Birmingham, Alabama. You see the station ID's every once in a while.

I dunno, the low quality of the boot adds to the experience, IMHO. This is a show that ran on cretinism.

Its quite good enough to watch on your computer, or handbrake it and view it on an iPod touch or the like. Its obvious its from a VHS tape, but at least their cable reception was quite good, so its basically very watchable.

And its better than nothing.

Worth it to capture Emma Samms' finest performance ever, if nothing else!

Emma: "Wait!"

Chris: "Yes, I have put on a little weight honey, but you're no beanpole either"

I disagree about the music clips. The 80's cretinism of these songs really did add something. But no reason why you couldn't replace them with cover versions, for which there is compulsory licensing.

i didnt know how lucky i was at the time, but i found the get a life vol. 1 dvd at my local gamestop for the standard 5.99 used dvd price. i was like COOL GET A LIFE i miss this show. so i went online to look for vol. 2 and i saw what these things are fetchin on amazon, i was like "wow lucky me". i dont know what dolt traded this gem in, but its all mine now. fox needs to look at how much these are sellin for on the secondary market if they think theres not enough demand for a get a life master set. you are the man chris elliot!
