Any one here recoginse the boarding school in the film? It is in fact Stonyhurst College....I was so surprised when I saw it on TV.

So it is!! Not surprised Stonyhurst was used as a venue - it is a beautiful location and fantastic school. it's also not as strict as the film makes out i might add!

The exteriors were shot at Stonyhurst college but the interiors were shot at Douai Abbey school, in Berkshire.

I live about 10 minutes from Douai Abbey, its in Woolhampton, gorgeous place! A friend i knew at college went there when it was a boys only school. Lordy i never knew one of my fave films was shot so close to home, thats crazy! xx

It is Stonyhurst college, just outside of Preston, but its not mentioned under the 'filming locations' bit.
