That's for sure! If Russ had tried to pull the sorta *beep* he pulled on Cole on Rowdy he wouldn't have gotten away with it so easily since after the Daytona crash Cole became a *beep*

Cole was "gun shy" after the crash, not a wimp or whatever expletive you used. If you remember, he did a few things to Rowdy before the crash, that Dale Earnhardt would have been proud of.

Racing drivers choose their career on the understanding that death may choose them. The inherent risk of death is part and parcel of motorsport and if that scares a racing driver to the point where they don't give it their all anymore it means motor racing is no longer for them.

Actually, this movie would have been better plot-wise if Rowdy and Russ had been briefly racing together and were antagonists towards each other AND Cole.
