At the end of the movie, Russ (the bad guy) is wearing some queer glasses and holding hands with a she-man. Is he Gay? Or is that really a chick that looks like a man? It also looks like Cole (Tom Cruise) is either homophobic by the look on his face or perhaps he feels sad that he's being left out of a threesome.

Well they needed a bad guy to play against Cole, and since Nascar is the bastion of macho straight men who mostly live in the south, they needed a nemesis who had little support from the audience. So what they did was they deliberately made Russ seem like some metrosexual with a she man for a gf, enough said.
