What a dog...the only thing this joke of a NASCAR movie is worth is background noise if nothing else is on.
Talledega Nights is a better NASCAR movie than this....Had more actual drivers involved as well as other broadcasters and tracks from around NASCAR. Not too mention Talledega Nights was actually filmed in and around Charlotte and Mooresville...NASCAR central.
Another point....Who the hell who would know ANYTHING would take a flight from North Wilkesboro back to Charlotte?? Jeez...it's only about a 2 1/2 hour drive if that.
Im suprised either movie managed to be entertaining when the subject matter is is men driving round in a circle? No wonder its never caught on anywhere else! I would love to see one of the drivers go round an f1 circuit like monaco, would they crash at the first right hand bend?
funny you should say that Pads....becuase I would love to see F1 one of those at a NASCAR circit..like...ohhh ...I dont know...Bristol,TN?...lol....can anyone say..."Free Parts"!!!!...lol...oh btw...there is a former F1 driver on the NASCAR Circuit...Juan Paublo....hummm
The racecars in NASCAR are very heavy and the tires are about half as wide. It is much more difficult to make the cars handle good in NASCAR. The cars present their own unique set of challenges. The oval layout allows for faster speeds and easier passing opportunities. In my opinion, NASCAR provides much closer competition and a better show.
And for the record, NASCAR does have two road courses (tracks with left handed and right handed turns) on its circuit - Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA and Watkins Glen in NY.
F1 showcases the most technologically advanced cars in the world (traction control is even legal). Their design is lightweight, has a ton of downforce, wider tires.......their design isn't limited to resemble an American stock car. There's less than half the cars on the track compared to NASCAR. The level of the playing field of the cars can be called into question. The cars also tend to get separated and the amount of passing isn't anywhere near what you'll see in NASCAR.
Yes, NASCAR is the better show. It is too difficult to pass in F1. I hear they are going to make changes in 2010 to make it easier to pass. NOt sure exactly what. I download f1weekly.com on my ipod and they were talking about it. But right now NASCAR is the show, which is why guys are leaving F1 for NASCAR.
I like F1, too. I love the Monaco GP. Lots of class.
You guys need to get your heads checked. The only thing TN and DOT have in common is that they're centered around nascar and have John Reilly in them.
They were movies from different eras of film and genres. not comparable. Next you guys will be comparing Corky Romano and Goodfellas because they both have the FBI in them. get real.
I prefer Days but TN is a good movie too. Days is mostly realistic, where TN is jokey. The movie also has two different versions of Nascar like the poster above me said,if you want to see how much different Nascar was then compared to nowadays, watch Days.
