Blu-Ray version with edited ending? (SPOILER)

If I'm not mistaken in the theatrical and DVD versions of the movie, at the end Cole asks Harry if he heard about Rowdy.

I bought the Blu-Ray over the weekend and that has been removed from the movie.

Also, while we are on the topic. Does anyone know what happened to Rowdy? I swear I've seen this movie a bunch of times and can't seem to figure out what happened to him. Is he dead or what? Is it possible in the script or during shooting there is an explanation and it was removed from the final cut of the film but somehow they didn't take that particular question out until now?

Anyone who can shed light on this? I would really appreciate it.

Seen the film too many times to count. Never seen anything where Cole asks about Rowdy. The last we see or hear of Rowdy is when he asks Cole to drive his car.

The Bluray has the exact same ending as the DVD, and the exact same ending, I'm sure, as the theatrical ending.

Actually the last we here of Rowdy is when Nicole Kidman comes to see Cole as he is getting dressed for the final race. She tells him that Rowdy is getting better everyday, especially after Cole told him how much he was looking forward to driving in Rowdy's car.

As many times as I have seen this movie, I can assure you there have been no changes to the movie. I bought the VHS back in the mid 90s and there were no differences between the original and the DVD version aside from the DVD being widescreen.

Sorry, but you are mistaken. Cole never asks Harry about Rowdy in ANY version of Days of Thunder. And there is only one version.
