I haven't yet been able google the answer... maybe someone might know here.

I love the 'Gimme Some Lovin' song from the movie. On the soundtrack, it's noted to be done by Terry Reid. I have the DOT soundtrack and it sounds different to the one used in the film.

To me, the one in the film sounds like the original by Spencer Davis Group.

So is my hearing off, did Terry do a different version for the film or infact was the SDC version used in the Bristol scenes??

Yes is was the Spencer Davis Group. They hired Trevor Rabin to re-record the song but everyone prefered the original. Hope this helps.
