2001 daytona 500

the daytona 500 2001, was the first NASCAR race i ever watched, and unfortununateley a great man died. it was a tradgedy and nothing more and nothing less.
since then i have not missed a single race and look foreward to the 2005 season starting.
being an australian means that i dont get to watch it live , but have to tape all the races.
i still enjoy all the same!!
i look foreward to any discussions on this

i would like to say that "ThunderDome" Raceway is awesome. I had a chance to get there on my last trip over to Aussie Town.

Be sure to check out the races at Watkin's Glen and Infineon Raceway. They are the two road courses in the NASCAR season, and they are awesome.

I've heard of Australia's version of NASCAR, AUSCAR, which ran from 1986 to 2001. You ever heard of it?
