Days of FUNder!

Days of thunder has always been an unfairly mainlined movie IMO. I don't know NASCAR from Nassau, but I've always enjoyed this film. Not just for the obvious reasons... Nicole Kidman (Thank you, Australia). Fast cars. Nicole Kidman (Thank you, Australia) but also the less obvious.

I've compiled a list to make your next Days of thunder viewing experience a better one.

REASON #1: Robert Duvall's floods - Sure, we know that Robert Duvall is one of the best screen actors of all time, but his greatest cinematic moment just might be racing a grinning Tom Cruise as his Urkelish floods rise up and expose his white tube socks. Mix in Hans Zimmer's thundering score and this might just be the best freeze frame ending of all time.

REASON #2: The quotes - This film has some of the best and most useful quotes in film history.

Stuck behind a slow old guy in the grocery isle? Use these.

As you make your approach...

"I'm gonna draft Wheeler, make him pull me around the track."

When you "accidentally" bump the old timer...

"Remember me?"

As you set up for the move...

"Harry, this guy's goin' down!"

As you make your move...

"This one's for you, Harry!"

REASON #3: Tom Cruise at his most Cruisish - This was Tom pre Oprah's couch and before he had become Xenu's PR guy. It was just Tom... All-American cocky hero who just needs the love of the right girl and a way to channel his aggressiveness so that he can win the (Insert here: race) Also applies to Top Gun, Cocktail, The color of Money, Rain man, All the right moves, Risky business...

Like the Constitution, this is a living document. Feel free to add and amend it.
