After the barn scene when tom confronts robert duvall in the movie they go to interview drivers about colts condition. I could swear the second or perhaps first driver they interview was mel gibson for two three seconds???

The first driver interviewed was Harry Gant, a long-time Cup driver who drove the #33 Skoal Oldsmobile in this movie and real life.
The second driver was Neil Bonnett, who was a long-time Cup driver and announcer who was killed in a practice crash at Daytona in 1994.
The 3rd driver interviewed is Aldo Benedetti, who was a fictional driver played by Actor/Producer Don Simpson, who produced Days Of Thunder along with Jerry Bruckheimer.
The 4th driver is Rusty Wallace, former Cup champion who drove the Miller car for so long. In this movie, he would be driving the #27 Miller Genuine Draft Pontiac.
The 5th driver interviewed is Russ Wheeler, a fictional driver played by Cary Elwes in this movie.
