I was wondering because, Joe being 26 and Charlotte still in HS, I thought there was a pretty big age difference, at least for her age.

shareAll of y'all are wrong apart from Gem7. Charlotte was 15, she states it very clearly in the car when she is driving, and Joe is 26 as Rachel states very clearly "26 and cute as a button."

She was 15, at least when they first moved there. Remember the scene where she's driving and holding up traffic? She says she's 15.
He was probably closer in age to Rachel than Charlotte.
This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here.
