How funny is it that Cher was pretty much the same age (give or take a measly 10/15 years) as her character was when this was set?
That cracks me up! She hides her age well.
Cher was 17 when this movie was set, in 1963. In 1989, when this movie was filmed, she was about 43. So she wasn't really close to that age in the 60s, when the movie was set, she was much closer to the age of the character when the movie was filmed, 1989-1990.
