In the beggining of the movie they show how Charlotte is remembering her father. They show when she is 5 years old, and how her father says something like "here honey, put these on." Then in the end of the movie Charlotte asks Rachel if her father ever saw her. But wasn't she remembering that he did see her, or was it just a clip showing he did visit, but Charlotte doesn't remember it?
shareI believe she says "I have only one memory of my father or at least I think he's my father" during the scene where the "dad" puts sun glasses on Charlotte. It's been awhile since I have seen it.

Then at the end, she asks her mother if her father ever saw her and she says "yes, once when you were 4". Which would fit in with Charlotte's memory.
I wonder where her father was all that time? Also, I guess alot of people don't know if something when they were younger really happened or if it was like a dream. So, sometimes you need an older person to confirm it for you.
