I think he DID go for Cher, because they met before at the shoe store, he liked her, I believe she told him about the parent-teacher night, and he went! Plus it's a small town, so I think everyone was pretty much involved in such events. Plus they all knew each other.

You are going to laugh.In a lot of smaller towns.Parent teacher night back then was like a social gathering.Lots of teachers and single parents ended up meeting their spouses there.With nightclubs not being as plentiful as they are now.Church socials for the religious and Parent teacher night for everyone else was about all they had.No,no,no,don't laugh!I am serious!!!

It was either that or football and basketball games. I'm amazed by this movie. You could of taken it from my own life (with 3 sister's) and basically just cracked me up and broke my heart. What a great flick. And I'm no fan of Cher. But my eldsest sister acted just like her. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Now I'm gonna write my sis. Rock On!
