With him (who really is from the Bronx), the character's coolness would have been believable. And with him, a director who'd done more than Playboy videos, a writer who knew how to plot a movie properly, better actors and a title which made more sense this movie might have been something. As is, however, it's a Plan 9 From Outer Space for the 90s.

You're missing the whole point of the movie, Clams. If it starred Sam Rockwell and had a good script, good actors, etc... Then it wouldn't be the Vanilla Ice movie. Vanilla Ice MAKES this movie. When Vanilla ice is not on the screen, I'm bored waiting until he makes his triumphant return. Remember, this was 1991, Vanilla Ice was cool back than.
