Holds a very special place in my heart

Yes, I know it isn't as good as some of the other movies, nor is it scary. However this movie was the movie that got me into horror flicks. Movie came out 3 days after I was born so I never saw it until I was about 8 on tv (I think it was the Super station) and I fell in love. I rented this movie constantly after that moment, and slowly got into more horror movies.

I'm 24 now and this movie stills gives me fond memories of inviting friends over and staying up till 3 in the morning watching a warn out VHS tape.

I will not fear, fear is the mind killer

One day I was in Walmart.I believe it was around halloween.I ended up looking around and stumbled upon Freddy's dead on vhs and purchased it. Before this,I have few memories of going into different video stores and seeing the covers for the films.
At the time I thought it was a great film. But I do see the flaws it has in it.
I still to this day think it has a great fall atmosphere. This might the first one I saw all the way through. I remember catching parts of part 4 on Wgn when they played it back in the early 90's. After I purchased this tape,I remember TNT having a marathon of these films around halloween and becoming hooked. It wasn't until high school where I became obsessed with renting the series.
