H6: The Curse of Michael Myers vs Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare

(This is a continuation of a contest that's started on the pages for the original films of both franchises)

These are the ones that really killed it for most people. Despite one of them getting a respectable cult following nowadays, both at least upon initial release were considered real disappointments. Both are often considered kind of messy, and also didn't like how both tried to pull away the veil of mystery over the characters. Both films giving straightforward explanations to where exactly their powers came from, whether it be a cult or demons from the netherworld. (Not to mention they touched on their motives for being killers) So, which do you prefer and why?

I think that the Halloween sequel is better, but I prefer this film.

Freddy's Dead, hands down.

I don't know what they were trying to do with The Curse, but whatever it was it didn't work.

Freddy's Dead is the worst Nightmare film. However it's miles better than the garbage that is Halloween the Curse of Michael Myers.

I cannot help it. I really enjoy H6. Something might be wrong with me but it just had some good death scenes in it and Michael seemed angrier. The scene where he kills all of the doctors in the room with the strobe light effect is one of my favorite scenes of the whole series.

I have to pick Freddy's Dead. I'm a big Freddy fan to begin with
and mostly like the parts with Freddy pre-burned with his family,
as a kid and the montage at the end credits. H6 is ok, but I think
the infamous "Producer's cut" is slightly better than the theatrical
and should've been the version we got.

I will have to go with Freddy's Dead on this one. I'm huge Halloween fan and I liked Halloween:The Curse of Michael Myers I find it better than Halloween 5, Halloween:Resurrection and Rob Zombie's Halloween II! Freddy's Dead had some good scenes the dream sequences in it even though people hated it. Johnny Depp's cameo. But Halloween 6 was in a creepier tone with scene with the doctors at the mental hospital that was disturbing.

Freddy's Dead is really funny. Halloween 6 is just awful
