The Finnish Princess
Why did the Princess voice sound so deep and husky? LOL It was so funny...sounded more masculine than feminine.

shareProbably just a gimmick, added for humorous value.
I'm more perturbed by the notion of Finnish royalty as such; Finland has been a republic since the day it gained independence...
kind of like what goodman said, 'having sex on a bed of nails and a voice like a tuba' i personally liked dinner with the cornish hens, and of course the end when he kick lord graves right in the arse
shareit was just a joke, the irony of it, a beautiful woman with "a voice like a tuba"
shareI'm just wondering how they did it, was Joely Richardson actually speaking then (probably not), or did they just use a voiceover with a different person. If Joely could actually speak in that voice, i give her a lot of credit. Anyone know if it was her or a voiceover?
shareIt sounded like they slowed down the recordings of her voice just a little, but it´s just a guess.
It´s called the american dream because you have to be asleep to believe it.
As a sovereign nation, thay haven´t ever had a king. They were ruled by Sweden and then Russia up until 1808 or something, and then ofcourse they were ruled by the monarchs of those nations, but that´s irrelevant.
I submited it to the goofs section earlier, see if they´ll approve it...

Do grow a brain! It is a FICTIONAL movie -- a comedy! Notice that the sitting ruler of England in the REAL world at the time of this movie was a woman, yet in the movie there is clearly a man ruling... Sometimes people are just so dense.
