Well, being a southsider, those are the two teams I hate the most, so I had a little bit of selective sight and just ignored that. Lol. But to be honest, it's not as unbelievable as you'd think. Statistically, the Packers are the most liked team in the NFL outside of the major markets that have their own teams. And the Cubs are the non-sports fans' sweetheart (had to take the shot, lol). So outside of Chicago and other major NFL/MLB markets, it's plausible that someone could be both and Packers and a Cubs fan. Hell, I've got a neighbor that moved from the east coast that's from the new england/boston area that is somehow a die hard yankees fan and a pats fan.

As an avid sports fan from Chicago I can assure you it is not the same as Bama and Auburn, because the two teams he was wearing were different sports. If he was wearing a Packers jacket and Bears hat, or Cubs hat and Brewers/Cardinals jacket, then it would be the same. There are many people in Chicago that are a fan of a Chicago team in one sport and non Chicago team in another sport.
