Why didn't the shredder fight in this film?

I think most people's positive reaction to the first movie is that the Shredder actually did a fight scene. Anybody disappointed that he didn't' have a fight scene? This is a reference of course before he mutates into Super Shredder.

Yeah, it's dissapointing. It also makes no sense because in the first movie Shredder was whopping the turtles' asses. Logically he should've been concerntrating on Splinter and training new Foot Ninja. THe whole time he acts like it was the TMNT that beat him but it wasn't.

he behaved like a cartoon villian cuz they took this movie from the great dark and gritty first movie and made it cartoony cuz the parents bitched that the first movie wasn't as kid friendly.

yeah that was disappointing

Well Shredder failed fighting the Turtles and Splinter so why would he fight them again.

"Yippee kai yay, mother fVcker"

He had no trouble with the Turtles. Splinter defeated Shredder but that wasn't much of a fight. You could see the attack coming from a mile away.
