It didn't make sense. The first time she sat at his table, he treated her like dirt. That was before Emerald told him to stay away from her, so what was his problem? I'm guessing the movie was poorly edited or written. Maybe the script made more sense. Maybe he knew her from outside. Maybe the scenes were edited together in the wrong order. Can anyone explain this?

shareMaybe, but why trust anybody else in the prison, then? It's sexist. People are people. It's not well-motivated or consistent behavior, IMO.
shareI agree that the issue isn't fully or clearly expanded upon. But I think it's a combination of Frank not being a particularly courageous hero/anti-hero and the fact that apparently he's never had luck with any women.🐭
