I think it's because it's so fun to watch. There isn't a boring moment in the entire film. All I ask is that a film entertains me. It doesn't have to be particularly well made (although this film was), philosophical, thought provoking, or sophisticated. As long as a film entertains me, I consider it to be a good film.

Well, I can't say I agree with the rating. But as someone else said, despite the gore for gore's sake, this is actually a well made film. And plus, it's just pure mindless fun that manages to entertain unlike others of its kind.
