What became of the nurse and the priest?

I just saw this again last night in a retro screening - been awhile - but while watching I may have lost track by the climax - what becomes of the nurse & the priest after they re-awaken from the burial (after injected with the poison meant for animals only)

Lionel mowes them to bits during the lawnmower scene :)

I read that in some versions of the film those few seconds are cut out for some reason (along with a few other small things), but the versions I've seen have always had those things in them, I think
