Fond Memories of Candyman

Does anybody else remember being scared the *beep* out of by this movie as a kid? I remember seeing this on the TBS channel (when it was called Superstation) when I was possibly 8 or 9 back in 2001 or '02, and taping it as well. And when watching it, it scared the HOLY HELL out of me. So much so, I didn't dare to say Candyman five times in the mirror. This was one of only two movies that truly scared me, the other being Pet Sematary.

Who else had that same feeling upon watching this?

I remember the commercial. I was a junior in high-school at the time..

I was about 7 or 8 in the early 90s and Candyman traumatized the fck outta me. I had it on VHS but for some reason I kept watching it knowing that it'll scare me. I was so scared of that movie that it motivated me to go to school or think of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to get it off my mind..I thought Halloween 1978 was the only runaway of chills but when I saw Candyman? That movie gave me the runs...
