Down and Out in Beverly Hills
Although Kurt Russell is my favorite B actor, Down and Out in Beverly Hills with Nick Nolte and Richard Dreyfuss as Kurt and Martin is a better version of this story.
shareDOWN AND OUT IN BEVERLY HILLS is a better film, but it does not diminish my affection for this film at all. This film took chances that the other one didn't...like depending on the strength of its script and actors to make it work. I was impressed that Russell was given the lion's share of the comedy while established comic Short was basically a straight man, but it worked for me.
