In the initial office scene with Col Jessup, LtCol Markinson is not wearing name or US Marine Corps tapes on his uniform.
I don't remember anyone wearing nametapes or U.S. Marines tapes in 1991. The regulation just came out. It wasn't mandatory until 1993.
