If Kevin never pushed Buzz at the choir

Would the parents punish Buzz for his behavior by embarrassing Kevin in front of everyone?

I sometimes wish Kevin would've just kept his cool towards Buzz at the choir so we can see what happens to Buzz when they've gotten home.

reply

Or waited until after than performance to push Buzz. I wish Kevin wouldve pushed him harder

reply

I do wish Kevin would've just kept his cool towards Buzz picking on him so we could see what kind of punishment they would've given Buzz? I also would love for the parents to reward Kevin for his good behavior in front of Buzz while they're punishing him.

reply

Chances are Buzz would have manipulated his way out of it.

reply

Really? I wonder what he could have done to manipulate his way out of trouble?

reply

Exactly what he did in the movie, "My prank was immature and ill timed, but most of all I'd like to apologize to my brother: Kevin I'm sorry"

reply

Would Kevin have accepted Buzz's apology? I do think the parents needed to punish Buzz for his behavior.

reply

They did but I doubt they would. Kevin probably wouldn’t have accepted considering he didn’t accept after he slugged him.

reply

If I were in Kevin's shoes I would have accepted Buzz's apology and then act like it never happened, I was the kind of kid that wanted to move on and act like the wrongdoings and sufferings I experienced never happened.

reply

I would have kicked Buzz in the nuts.

Twice.

reply

Kevin had every right to push that douche Buzz. If I was the father I would've went to bat for Kevin

reply

You're right he did, I could never understand why his parents had to punish Kevin for pushing Buzz but not Buzz for humiliating Kevin, as a kid I thought the reason why Kevin got punished is because he pushed Buzz.

reply

It would be a remake called "Home Alone: Forever".

After the family get back home no punishment is given to Buzz. This makes Kevin go off the deep end and that night when everyone is asleep he booby traps the house as he does. This time he murders the family and spends the rest of the holiday pretending they are still alive by using props when people/deliveries come to the door.

He then frames the murders on The Wet Bandits or Shovel Man/Creepy Bird Lady.

If you're not a screenwriter you missed your calling.

reply

Thank you. I have a script for an NC-17 version of The Goonies if you are interested.

reply

They probably would find some way to still blame Kevin even Buzz is the one being a jerk.

reply

I agree

reply

How would they find some way to blame it on Kevin, I hate it when parents, teachers, managers would still try to find some way to blame something on someone who was innocent or didn't do anything wrong.

reply

Yeah, it’s unfair how that happens. Kevin’s parents probably have some idea that Buzz is a “perfect child” and are oblivious to his negative behavior and narcissistic tendencies because they do not want to destroy the image they have of him.

reply

Kevin kept his cool enough to turn the punch into a push.

reply

FACT: Kevin pushed Buzz in self defense. Prove me wrong.

reply

What would've happened in my opinion, was if Kevin just continued the performance and didn't push Buzz, then Buzz would still give that fake apology and then Kevin would get in trouble for not accepting it.
